About Sileshi Sema School
Sileshi Sema School (SSS) is a privately funded and operated education project through the Sow In Hope Ethiopia Foundation (SIH) initiative. SIH is a family-funded nonprofit that has been active since 2010 in Addis Ababa, benefiting students and families from underprivileged parts of society.
The project aims to address the critical lack of kindergarten in Astepo and the overall lack of quality education in the Kebele and surrounding area. Astepo is a small farming community in the Gurage zone, Cheha Woreda — approximately 200 KM southwest of Addis Ababa.
Currently, there are 230 students enrolled in our school. SSS aims to be a center of educational excellence in the region and the country. While child development is at the core of the school project, we use a holistic approach to address every aspect of the students' growth and development. We aim to be a happy school for all involved.
We expect to reach a full capacity of approximately 650 students by the year 2033.

SSS is a center of educational excellence in Astepo, Gurage Zone. With 230 students currently enrolled and growing toward our 2033 capacity goal of 650 students, we're building more than a school — we're building hope. Our 40,000 m² campus features 5 blocks with 8 classrooms, library, staff lounge, and guest house, with future plans including a school farm, laboratory, assembly hall, gymnasium, and theater.
